Kind Behavioral Health Highlights Young Learners ABA Programs for Ages 1 to 7

The autism provider explains how its Young Learners Programs use ABA therapy to build communication and play skills in children ages 1 to 7.

RALEIGH, NC, UNITED STATES, October 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Kind Behavioral Health (KBH) is highlighting its Young Learners Programs, which use applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to help children with autism ages 1 to 7 build communication, play, and early learning skills.

At every KBH clinic, therapy for young learners combines evidence-based ABA with developmental science, using play and everyday routines to build social communication and engagement.

Therapists follow each child's interests, share control of activities, and put meaningful engagement first, so therapy is done with the child, not to the child. Each child's care balances play-based, naturalistic teaching with more structured instruction based on what that child needs. Every day includes practice with the skills children need at home, at school, and in the community, such as following routines, taking turns, and learning alongside peers. Caregivers are partners in their child's care through caregiver training and ongoing support, and KBH tracks each child's progress with a standard set of developmental assessments.

Building on this foundation, select KBH clinics also offer specialized Young Learner programs, including Early Intervention and the Classroom Readiness Program. Availability depends on the clinic, and enrollment depends on each child's needs, goals, and eligibility.

Early Intervention Program

KBH's Early Intervention program serves children up to age 3 in a routines-based clinic setting alongside peers. Each child works one-on-one with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Using a child-led approach, the program helps children build engagement, play, social, and communication skills, along with joint attention, imitation, and other early learning skills.

Classroom Readiness Program

KBH's Classroom Readiness Program (CRP) helps eligible children, typically ages 4–6, prepare to start school with confidence through structured learning in a clinic setting.

The day mirrors a classroom schedule, with circle time, small and large group learning, one-on-one instruction, play, and time on the playground. Along the way, children practice following routines and group instructions, joining in activities, persisting through challenging tasks, and communicating and socializing with their peers.

During assessment and treatment planning, the clinical team works with caregivers to determine whether group learning opportunities are an appropriate clinical fit for each child based on their individual needs, goals, and eligibility.

How to Get Started

Caregivers interested in ABA services can submit an application through the KBH website, where they can also learn more about the onboarding process. KBH staff will follow up to begin the next steps. KBH is in-network with most major insurance plans for ABA therapy.

If a child does not already have a confirmed autism diagnosis, caregivers can begin with an autism diagnostic evaluation from a licensed psychologist. KBH is in-network for autism diagnostic evaluations with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and all North Carolina Medicaid plans. Private-pay evaluation options are also available.
